Key differentiators
Miller & Smith rezoned 1,300 acres in the Franconia-Springfield area of Fairfax County, Virginia. At the time of rezoning in 1984, it was the second largest rezoning in Fairfax history.
A formal gravel operation, the project ultimately included 5,800 residences, a town center, office and a variety of auxiliary and “big box” retail.
Miller & Smith Homes was responsible for the construction of 1,500 residential units.
Kingstowne remains a model for integrated and successful mixed-use development. Miller and Smith returns to Kingstowne this year with Walhaven at Kingstowne, a 32-unit Active Adult project.
