Located on a 33-acre site at 4350 Glasgow Road near the Short Pump/Innsbrook Interstate 64 interchange on West Broad Street, Sadler Square will feature single-family homes approximately 3,200 square feet in size, each with front-entry garages. These new homes have been tailored to the unique preferences of Richmond buyers, blending modern convenience with local architectural influences.

“For over 60 years, Miller & Smith has been committed to creating communities that elevate the homebuying experience,” said Steven Aylor, President of Miller & Smith. “Expanding into Richmond with Sadler Square is an exciting milestone for us. This has been years in the making, and we’ve dedicated significant time and resources to ensure that this community reflects the rich history and architecture of the area, while bringing something fresh to the market. The Richmond market is a strong, vibrant place, and we believe now is the perfect time for our expansion.”

Miller & Smith has spent the past eight years assembling parcels for the Sadler Square development. This lengthy process, which included rezoning efforts, was driven by the company’s recognition of Richmond’s strong housing market, particularly the demand for single-family homes. Sadler Square, with its unique designs and prime location, will meet the needs of buyers in this competitive market. Conveniently situated near significant shopping, dining, and recreational options in Short Pump, the community is just minutes away from popular destinations such as Wegman’s, Whole Foods Market, Cabela’s, Golf Galaxy, and dozens of other shops and restaurants, offering residents easy access to everything they need for a vibrant, active lifestyle.

“Sadler Square will feature all-new floor plans, designed exclusively for this community,” said Tracy Lamb, Vice President of Sales for Miller & Smith. “We studied the Richmond market extensively, including its resale neighborhoods and architectural history, and incorporated those insights into our designs. These homes will include features such as first-floor primary suites, which we learned are in high demand in this region. We’re also introducing crawl spaces for the first time, as they are more common in Richmond. Every detail was carefully thought through to ensure we are building homes that resonate with the local buyers.”

This expansion into Richmond is a natural extension of Miller & Smith’s long history of homebuilding excellence in the DC Metro area. The company has earned a reputation for its innovative designs and commitment to quality, and those principles will be evident in every aspect of Sadler Square. As part of its broader growth strategy, Miller & Smith sees Sadler Square as just the beginning of its presence in Richmond.

“We aim to continue building in Richmond beyond Sadler Square,” Aylor added. “Our goal is to create a lasting impact here, just as we’ve done in other markets. We’re confident that our experience and dedication to quality will make a difference in this community, and we’re excited for what the future holds.”

The new homes in Sadler Square are expected to appeal to a wide range of buyers, from young families to professionals in the area’s growing tech and medical sectors. With thoughtful designs, spacious homes, and a prime location near the Short Pump area, Sadler Square is set to become a sought-after community in the Richmond region.

“We’re incredibly excited to bring something new to the Richmond market,” Lamb concluded. “This is more than just another community for us—it’s a chance to expand our expertise, connect with new buyers, and establish Miller & Smith as a homebuilder that understands and delivers exactly what the Richmond market needs.”
