McLean, Virginia – BUILDER, the leading media brand in residential construction, this week announced the BUILDER 100, its annual ranking of the 100 largest homebuilding companies in the U.S. Miller & Smith made the list coming in as the 99th largest homebuilder in the country, based on closings, gross revenue and product type.
Doug Smith, President of Miller & Smith said, “Our position on this prestigious national ranking is a reflection of our core mission – to build homes for people who demand something different, appreciate attention to detail and understand the value of a home designed specifically for the setting in which it lives. This combined with an overall uptick in the housing market has resulted in us being able to sell a greater volume of homes in fewer communities. 2013 is also on track for another good year, we’ve seen a 19% increase in sales over last year and have been able to raise prices 7-10% in most communities.”
The BUILDER 100 is compiled from data collected by BUILDER magazine via direct survey. The BUILDER 100 list is made up of private and public builders and identifies the top homebuilders in the U.S. BUILDER magazine has conducted the survey and compiled the BUILDER 100 list since 1984.
